They’re drinking down Maxwell House
or Mellow Birds
Or Nescafé Fine Blend

It was all so simple way back then
In their little offices
On the same floor
Of the same building

My Dad and his brothers
Travelling salesmen
Sold shirts and suits
And ties and lingerie

Everybody was up there in a row
In Howard Buildings
A hallway full of business and mischief
And the smell of coffee

Then the boys would head out in the cars
They’d go and get the orders down
Then they’d drive back home
Fax them back to base

Be it Enniskillen or Aughnacloy
Or Ballymena or Ballintoy
He’d be there on time with a smile on his face.
